During my time working as a design assistant at Mirror Palais, I supported marketing and design operations using my digital design skills.

My Photoshop retouching skills are strong, and I am capable of editing images to match product expectations perfectly. For Collections 3 and 4, I was asked to brighten and smooth backgrounds, edit out ghost forms, straighten seamlines, correct skin imperfections,  and create room in crop orientation.

Below are flats I created in Illustrator to help visualize and merchandise Collection 2 and 3 from Mirror Palais.

For Mirror Palais’ Collection IV, which debuted at NYFW in 2023, I aided the design process from the outset, creating flats and other visuals for Marcelo to review in decision making. I redesigned the brand’s logo, as seen above, which is still in use. In accordance with this change to the brand, I created new hangtags, main label tags, size label tags, branded aglets and garment bags.
I was also able to create embroidery designs and place them directly into DXF files for our design team, as well as use swatches to reproduce deadstock fabrics.
I rendered new colors onto gowns with Photoshop to see how they would look. Marcelo made final decisions using my digital assets as support.

Development Process (Below)

MP Hangtags
For our hangtags, there was a lot of development on my part. View this process here.

I digitally mimicked a deadstock vintage fabric to size and shape so that we could reproduce it for further sales.
Maria Eyelet Fabric Copy

I did this with another fabrication’s pattern so we could utilize the design on tissue paper for our packaging.

In addition to assisting in clothing development, I was tasked with directing development of a collaborative jewerly line with M Jewelers that was also in the ‘23 show. The Lookbook is available to view here. There is also a Linesheet I created for both teams use and reference.  I researched prior to designing and developed six pieces, a joint logo, a jewlery box design,  invites,  site/mobile banners,  and I retouched images as well.

For this collaboration with Inamorata, I had the special honor of developing my own print using inspiration Marcelo gave me. I assisted with research and I created all of the digital assets, from flats, to logos, hangtags, size and main label tags, packaging, site banners, charms, and patterns.  It is  always a pleasure working between two teams, and this project was no exception.
